  Hello to all!

Federal SW class, Europeans living in the US.
AOR: August 5, 2005
IA: September 12, 2006
Interview: waived

My wife is the principal applicant. We are asked to do medicals and submit an updated transcript (my wife is a Ph.D. student) and a bank statement (we already submitted all police and FBI certificates when we first applied). Also, I´m currently back home and will need to do the medical exam here while my wife will do it in the US.

Question #1: Are we required to bring any additional photos to the medical exam (I think something like that was mentioned in the papers)? If so, do we need to write our names on the back of the photos?

Question #2: We plan to write a letter explaining that at the time of the arrival of the IA letter, I was in my home country and had to do the medicals here. Will this be acceptable?

Question #3: How long do you think it´ll be until we get asked for the passports? As I said, we already submitted all the documents including the police and FBI certificates.

Thanks for your time.

Best of luck to all,
rc

HI RC: I hope I can help you...

Q#1: Yes, you do need to submit photos when you have your medicals done. For ours, we needed to bring in 4 passport sized photos each, taken within the past 6 months. You might check with your doctor to make sure that your requirements are the same.

#2: I don´t think this will be a problem. Several people on this board and others have successfully done this; just make sure to keep CIC informed. You might browse a bit to see if you can find similar postings.

#3: Buffalo is moving fast right now. We did our medicals in late August, Ottawa received them in September, and we got our PPR 3 weeks later. However, since your tests will be sent from Europe, it might take a bit longer.

Best of luck to you!

Hi Rc!
I had almost the same experience.
I and my wife had medical ex. in different palces. I took it in US my wife in Russia. Then, I moved from US and come to my country. I asked my friend to send me fingerprints received from FBI. From my country I send all documents. Then Canadian Council asked pasport from us. The letter came to my friend´s address and my friend scaned and e-mailed me requests. So, I send our pasports from my country to Canadian Council via DHL and recently my friend got stamped pasport and send me. There is nothing illegal here. I hope it might help.
Best
