Subject: PR and work permit application at the same time
I have a job offer and HRDC confirmation. The contract is 1 year and they let me sign an "intent to leave Canada" after the contract which I signed. Will it affect my work permit application if I apply for a PR under skilled worker?

Hi Rica.

I understand your thinking in this; specifically that your proposed application for PR would contradict your declared intent to leave.

Although very insightful on your behalf, you needn´t worry about this apparent contradiction, as long as you stay within the law and leave Canada if your PR application is incomplete and your work permit is not extended.

PR and work permit (in reply to: PR and work permit application at the same time)
Dear Sir,

I am a Staff Nurse and have applied for canada PR (skilled category) few weeks before and waiting for file no. from immigration dept. I was told that nowadys we get the processing quickly than before.

My dilemma now is currently I have got a call from a canada nursing recruiter and was offered a job through work permit. I would like to know whether I can go with that since PR may get delay. Also want to know what will happen to my PR application if I enter canada with work permit.I expect your valuable information.

Kind Regards,

Liza.
