Subject: Sponsoring a married person
I am a Sri Lankan working in Saudi arabia.I have a girl friend from canada. She wants to sponsor me but i am stil married. How can she sponsor me. We cannot prove that we are in common law relationship because people are not allowed to live in common law in saudi arabia. We are in a conjugal relationship for two years. She is an original canadian citizen. What is the best and easy way her to sponsor me. Please reply this.

you need to be divorced before she can do anything.

Simalar situation looking for advise (in reply to: Sponsoring a married person)
Hello, I have found myself in somewhat simalar situation. I a US citizen newly engaged to a Canadian Citizen both residing in our perspective countries.

If he comes to the states and we marry. Would it be possible to apply for Canadian permant residency while we are living outside of Canada together? Would he need to be back and employed in Candad first?

Obviously, we do not want to be apart after we are married, and not sure what the best course of action would be.

Thank you so much for your help!
