I met this colombian family and this the story they told me. They lived in Florida USA for 7 years ilegally, when they were told by a friend that if they went to canada, they could get the permanent residence for sure.
When i met this family, all they talked about was that canada was an awful country and that they were sick of the cold weather and the economy. They said that they wish they could go back to the USA. At the time tis people were refugee claimants and were waiting for their "hearing"
I personally talked to this family and became friends, and they told me that their story was FAKE or a LIE.
This summer they had their ´hearing" and to my disbelieve the refugge board accepted their claim.
What a piece of shit the refugge board is, since I know people that because they are from a another country, they´re denied their case. If any Colombians read this, and probably know, come to canada boys, you´ll surely get the "papers" you are the canadians.

No, this is real, i can not report them, it´s impossible, they have already bougth the immigration board. After they were given the permanent residense, they told me about another friend, that because she asked for a refugee claim at the border of Buffalo, she was already accepted

Perhaps all of us should apply for refugee status rather than spouse category, it seems there is more hope approaching the problem in that way.

IF YOU APPLY FOR REFUGEE STATUS FROM COLOMBIA YOU HAVE A HIGH PERCENTAGE TO BE ACCEPTED BECAUSE OF POLITICAL SITUATION FROM THE COUNTRY.

Plz Manuel don´t tell the Columbians the story, otherwise, like u said all of them will jump into Canada and we will be kicked out for sure before even landing there. Just tell them what the Columbian family told u it was a very cold country and sick economy.

Romantic warrior, I think is impossible to stop that, these people are like a mafia, they all know how to approach the vulnerable canadian immigration and get what they want. I forgot to mention that I lived in a basement apartment here in toronto, and another group of Colombians lived in the apartment above. They didn´t work, they lived off welfare, and they had a lot of parties, drunk a lot. I noticed that one day, they were "expecting" some friends to come trough the border of Buffalo, to make a refugee claim. For some people it costs thousands of dollars in immigration lawyers to get help in a refugee claim, while with these people, it is just a matter of coming here and free of charge, get what for others is expensive and most of the time impossible, it´s not fare, these people are economic refugees indeed.
