Subject: Parents Immigration

I have applied for sponsership my parents immigration and no exceptions haven´t heard from CIC authorities for at least 36 months. My dad has to go through most likely a by pass surgery in india. He was here on visitor visa last month. He is 65 years old his health has been absolutely fine never ever had any problems. He has also spent quite active life overall. My question is would it have any detrimental effect on his immigration process and would have any travel restrictions if he goes through a bypass surgery.
Thanks for your help.

No it will make him healthier.

I do not uinderstand your post clearly. Has his application been in India for 36 months or in Mississauga CPC for 36 months.

You may wish the next time dad visits just to keep him here and apply InLand under H&C see www.sponsoryourparents.ca

Thanks Roy for the reply

 I am currently working as Designe Engineer with a company since Aug 2005.(in my profession)
 I landed in Canada in May 2002 under skilled class category. I am Foreign Trained Civil Engineer.
 I applied for my parents immigration on July 19, 2003 based on my annual income of $30,200/. I was working with Estee Lauder Cosmetics as production worker. I was single at that time.
 From July 2003- July 2004 I was able to maintain consistent income and my income for that period was $34,000/-
 During the period of June 2004 I lost job and my income for the period between July 2004- July 2005 dropped to $9000.00 bulk of that income was from Employment insurance.
 During the same period my marital status also changed I went back to India to get married. After I came back I put a sponsorship file for my spouse in January 2005 and she was in Canada by April 2005.
 my spouse also worked for a brief period before going on an employment insurance (maternity benifits on Jan 2006)
 I received a letter from CIC office on July 2005 and they asked details about my financial status within 3 years and about my marital status.
 I wasn´t not sure how i had to present this all information from that point so I hired a lawyer to present this information and he took it from there.Oct 2005 i hired lawyer.
My lawyer advice was to withdraw the file and start over the process again with a fresh application. I went by his advice and he resubmitted my file again in April2006. He was telling me that its always better to go by the rules. He somehow assured me that it would´nt take long for my parents to get approval from CPC Mississauga. At some point i think that my lawyer has misguided me i dont know.

I am the only son of my parents, I have 2 sisters both of them are married one of them is in Canada and other in UK. My parents are all alone by themselves in India.
