Looking for your advice.
I have been reading some advertisements posted on this forum and I wonder if I should advertise my company here and on other forums. I am shocked at some of the claims they make and I do not know if it would be a good thing to be associate with some of these advertisers.
I do not advertise on the Internet currently and I´m wondering if I should. I feel there is no better people to ask then yourselves. When I googled the words Canada Immigration my web site never came up for five pages.
This is a problem for me and would really appreciate your detailed advice.

Honestly, for some reason I don´t pay much attention to these advertisements. I see them, but mostly ignore them. As an example, at the top of this post there are two ads from local firms ivolved with immigration. I don´t think I will ever click on their links.
As for the "claims they make".. well, what would you expect from a guy who says he will help you put the application together, monitor its progress, without any guaranty that it will be approved or processed any faster or any better than if you did it yourself?!? They HAVE to differentiate themselves from the others, they HAVE to say that if you hire them, your application will be processed in no time, that CIC doesn´t even bother looking at applications with their names on the envelope, they simply approve them, no questions asked, and all this in 1/3 the time needed by someone without legal advice or representation. A bunch of lies, but there are also a bunch more of ignorant people who believe such claims without any hesitation. My dad had a saying: "Every day, two stupid people are born. Find just one of them, and you will be fine for the rest of your life!"
There is only one way to find out about the effect of an online ad. Advertise for a limited time, analyze the feedback and decide for yourself.
People on this forum already know your capabilities, they already request YOU to read and respond to their inquiries, you are an established "entity" here.. Too bad that the aperture of this forum is way too limited for you make a living with it..

get someone to help you with your website. Meta tags are very important for getting your website near the top of the search engine.
I never read the ads on this forum.

Thanks guys much appreciated but some very near the top claim they are members of Canadian Association of Immigration Consultants CAIC instead of CSIC which is a guess okay but not my regulator and others claim they are former senior Immigration officers when they worked at the call centre with extremely limited experience etc. etc. then there are the so called experts that really upset me this morning.
Mega tags okay will research that

META tags get inserted into the header portion of one, some, or all pages of your website and help search engines find you if you let their "spiders" (scanning and indexing computers crawling the internet 24/7/365) access your page.
For instance, this forum has following META tags in its source:
META NAME="description" CONTENT="Canadian Immigration Forum & Discussion Group provided by Canada-city.ca, no registration necessary to post new questions or reply to existing questions."
META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="Canada, Canadian immigration, Toronto Canada, Vancouver Canada, Ottawa Canada, Montreal Canada, Edmonton Canada, Calgary Canada, Quebec Canada, population, links, facts, www.canada-city.ca, canada-city.ca"
You can see these META tags by rightclicking a web page and selecting "View Source".
Do a search for META tags in Google or Yahoo..
If you use them right you will achieve some unbelievable results!
