Subject: immigration picture PLEASE HELP |
Where in the United can I take the immigration pictures for permanenent residency? I live in Atlanta. I have gone to several places and asked to take Canadian immigration pictures and they seem clueless.

(in reply to: immigration picture PLEASE HELP) I took mine at a Walgreen´s store. No big deal, just tell them how large the pictures are supposed to be and they´ll cut them to specs.
Don´t mention "Canadian Immigration", nobody knows crap about that.. Just give them the specs and they will all work like well-programmed robots :)

(in reply to: immigration picture PLEASE HELP) I also went to Walgreens, but took my own scissors and cut them to spec myself then and there. I think I did a better job than the pimply teenager behind the counter could have.

(in reply to: immigration picture PLEASE HELP) Hmmm.., funny! :) Not to be rude, but I believe that all Walgreens 1-hr Photo employees are "pimply". Maybe it´s in the job description.
Correction: I just looked it up on their website and I was wrong! To be pimply is not a prerequisite to get the job. The job´s name is "One-Hour Photo Specialist" by the way.

(in reply to: immigration picture PLEASE HELP) Yes, that´s him! Actually, when I asken him to cut the photos according to the specs from the consulate instructions sheet, they looked just as confused as me. So I borrowed their scissors (now that I think about it) and did it muyself. They were relieved as they had other customers waiting. I think I brought a ruler, though, to measure.
In my neighborhood, they´re often high school part-timers, and still working on those hormones.
