BAD timing for this post. See what the former Minister of Immigration says about SW applications from India in todays Toronto Star Newspaper. http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&col=968350116467&c=Article&cid=1162421411165&call_pageid=968332188774

Your best option is to find a firm that will pay a head hunter on your behalf to seek out an employment offer and once obtained try to get a province to issue you a PNP certificate and then switc h your application to a PNP with processing times an average of eight months.

Another option depending on what a Pharmacist actaully is in India (slightly unaware) is to buy your way in as a Business type applicant under any Provincial PNP business program. Each program has to be the best for the individual and therefore you have an awful lot of reading to do.

You can find the links quickly on my site or go to www.cic.gc.ca left side to Immigrate then Provincial Nominee Program (note Ontario has not implemented theirs yet) then click on each province to see which one suits you best. B.C. is probably way out of your reach they require investment of $800,000.00 in the Greater Vancouver Area.

Some provinces let you in with a fund manager by investing around $100,000.00 and that information is not on their web sites.

Good luck and take your time.

Canada can achieve the same thing by overhauling the points system, just give good points to the occupations which is "REALLY" in demand and set a new pass mark based on that and everything will fall into place.

When I started in this Business Buffalo RPC took one month to determine if an applicant would be approved without an interview and another two months to Land them. See 2000 Auditor General Report I think Exhibit 3.6
