Hi there all, administrator and sharon in particular,
Let´s start with the first thing... ´AOR´
How long does it take to receive the acknowledgement of receipt?
My experience: Send application 24 Aug
: Received AOR 15 Oct
That would make it approx 7 weeks!

With all respect, I think we need to have a source how long it takes rathere than provide answers based on someone´s experience. Simply because in your case it was about 7 weeks but for someone else two or 12.
Do you agree?

in the Paris application they tell you how long you can expect things to take. 1-3 months for AOR and even then it says ´on average´ Is this the case for all embassies...I have not looked at all the various forms?

I was thinking we post the CIC website that shows processing times and say something like this...
Every consulate which processes CIC applications has a varied wait time. It is based on the volume of applications. Please check the website to get a general idea of how long the entire process might take.
this is kind of no answer for a big question. maybe someone else can give it a try.
