Subject: Confused about IA from Buffalo
  Hi all,

I applied for permanent residency in January 2006, and today I received my IA. No interview required, luckily, but I´m unclear about what I have to send them -- are there checkboxes on a regular IA? I don´t see any on mine, so I can´t tell what they want, if anything! The only forms included are the medical forms...

Thanks in advance!

Ed

Congratulations! If they didn´t check any boxes, you are in the clear and don´t need to send anything further. You can now take your medicals, and look forward to your PPR! :)

Sounds good, but... (in reply to: Confused about IA from Buffalo)
There aren´t any checkboxes to speak of! Is it just a bad photocopy? :)

Oh, that is strange. Sorry I didn´t quite understand it the first time. There were checkboxes on mine, before each item on the list of possible things they might require ("No further information required at this time", "You must submit documents...blah blah blah...", " You require an RCMP clearance..."). This was all on the first page of the IA, with more on the second page. Did you apply through Buffalo, or somewhere else? Maybe each consulate does it differently? Sorry I can´t be of more help!

Obviously you applied through Buffalo--I haven´t had enough coffee yet this morning! I can´t imagine why your letter would be set up differently--I hope someone can help you!

if you needed an interview, they would say. Just do those items they have listed. They may have questions later but so far so good.
