Subject: Dual Citizenship
Hello. My partner (British) and I (Canadian) had a baby and I need to get her dual citizenship befor we go back to Canada or else they will kick her out after 6 months. DOes anyone know where to appy or who to call. I´ve tried the Canadian embassy in London England but it´s all automated and no help at all.
Thank you

You don´t say where your baby was born. If in Canada, Canadian citzenship is automatic by reason of birth. Birth certificate is sufficient to prove ciizenship.

If born in the UK, Canadian citizenship is automatic by reason of descent (one parent Canadian citizen). In this case, you should apply for a Canadian Certificate of Citizehsip for your baby. Check this link for more info. on how to do this:

In both cases you need to get her a passport well.
