Subject: Buying a house for resident status |
Hi,
Is it true that buying a house in Canada automatically guarantees resident status?

(in reply to: Buying a house for resident status) No. It just guarantees maintenance. But seriously, you´d be viewed as a temporary resident subject to the maximum 6-month stay, and without benefits. I´m afraid you have to go through the application process for permanent resident status.

(in reply to: Buying a house for resident status) If you have management experience or business experience you can invest less and own part of a business and immigrate that way possibly under eight months. Provincial Business PNP or more funds if you meet the requirements of an Investor. This all depends on your personal circumstances.
