Hi Roy! Sorry to bother you but I have a question for you. I applied 2 years ago today for Permanent Residency visa in Buffalo. Nothing has happened really, I was notified last january that I had to attend an interview but it still has not yet been schedule. I recently got a job offer in Canada which is being processed by the HRSDC, my employer will consider making it a permanent job offer but for now it´s only for 2 years. Here´s the question: If I got the work permit will it help my PR application in terms of waiving some or all of the proof of funds, even if I got this work permit 2 years after I applied for PR?
Thanks in advance for your help, I really appreciate it.

(in reply to: Question for Roy (Employment)) Hello Again Roy. What I mean is this: Will having the permanent job offer along with the work permit help my PR application in terms of waiving some or all of the proof of funds, even if I got this work permit 2 years after I applied for PR?
Thanks again!

(in reply to: Question for Roy (Employment)) The issue of proof of funds is to show that you can support yourself for six months. Proof of a job even before you land basically eliminates any reason that you have to show funds.
They may even waive the interview. Send them the offer of employment.
