Subject: security interview in Damascus after CSQ.
  ----------------------1st message---------------------
Dear friends,
I am Iranian, got my CSQ (Quebec selected immigrant) form Quebec immigration office in Damascus, Syria, April 2005 (17 month ago), and applied for permanent residency visa May 2005 via Damascus, Syria, which serves for middle east, today, I got a fax from Canadian Embassy in Damascus stating that:
"In order for us to conclude examinations of your application it will be necessary to interview you."
so, I have been arranged for an interview next month in Damascus.
I would like to mention that I had couple of trips to Europe (business trips):
1- Italy- Jan 2006
2- Spain- France- Italy- May 2006
and I informed the Canadian Embassy in June 2006 about those trips.
moreover I exempted from military service due to a legislation which was being existed in the years 1997 to 2000, (purchase of military service).

I would like to ask you, group members, answer the following questions:
1- What is your opinion about this interview, is there any security problem I was not member of any political or religious or... groups? ( I have couple of friends exactly in my condition (except they had not any trips) but they got their medical forms recently.)
2- What will be the subject of interview in your opinion?, will they assess me under skilled worker category again or they will ask me some security related questions?

I highly appreciate your comments, in advance.
Best Regards,
Ali Reza,

Hey,
Following to my earlier message, I passed my interview a week ago in Damascus and interested to share my exprience:
The interview took about more than an hour in English not in French, and mainly was about work and why I travelled to Euroupe, where I was, and who I met and some political questions. At the begining of the interview and at the end she told me that I wont give you any any result and I will send it to.

I am interested to know how long does it normally takes to recieve the result of the interview?
Thank you in advance.
