the not so simple short answer is no.
2 things are against those wishing to come and enter the teaching profession.

1) declining enrollments which means there are more teachers and classrooms than students. Many Canadian trained teachers are doing other things to earn a living. If you have a specialty like mathematics or chemistry... the situation is more positive.
2) teaching is a regulated profession which means you will need to meet the standards of whichever province you decide to settle in. This could involve some training upgrades before you will be licensed to teach.

sorry, this is not the happy answer you were looking for... but it is the honest answer.

Sharon is someone who is knowledgeable and answered your question truthfully and you got agressive, WHY?

All provinces that have a provincial nominee program have one as a means to attract new immigrants to their provinces for two reasons---declining birth rates--and attracting workers they specifically need!

I have visited Iran and I have solicited clients in Iran. I was unlucky to get the only client who NEVER received any points for personal suitability under the former point system. He was an auditor and was asked if he had plans to upgrade his skills when he arrived in Canada.

He yelled and crush punched the officer for even suggesting his skills were not good enough for Canada. HE FORGOT TO UNDERSTAND THAT IRANIAN TAX LAWS AND CANADIAN TAX LAWS ARE DIFFERENT.

NEXT TIME WHEN YOU ASK FOR SOMEONE TO GIVE YOU A PIECE OF THEIR MIND----LISTEN!

Unfortunate. (in reply to: Teachers Needed)
Riqa,

I understand your frustration. But Sharon is right. I support Roy. In fact, teachers are not welcome into Canada. But aggressive behaviour in Forums is not desirable. If you are participating in a forum, you should be prepared to accept all kind of answers. Aggressive behaviour only exposes one´s unrefined behaviour pattern.

teacher accreditation and licensing is no secret. CIC spells the situation of regulated professions very clearly. Declining school populations is no secret. All you have to do is read the newspaper.

In my family, I have a retired school administrator, a retired school teacher, and an unemployed school teacher who has been on the sub list for 4 years. One of my best friends is the president of a district teacher association

Next time you want to be rude... do it somewhere else.

even though it´s a regulated profession, does not mean that you have no chance. Just mean that you need further training or take courses at college, if you do not mind.A lot of immigrants have to start cash flow, but again if this is your dream to be a teacher, you still could take part-time courses.. no worries, we immigrants usually have the best work ethic amoung Canadian society, if you do have one and never give up, you should be fine.

Hey DB is that you hiding behind the anonymous? I think your written English appears to have made a wee bit of progress. But Sharon seems to have the ultimate word when it comes to assessing and cautioning the short-tempered witch of Iran. I tell ya she can run all she wants and declare "I ran" but she will get nowhere with that attitude.... especially being from 3rd world country and entering teaching profession. If your best knowledge is laden with terrible accent, you still get the boot when it comes to teaching. We booted a Korean only days ago, I should know. DB did you get your PR yet or are you still on the CIC blacklist for spying for China?
