Can anyone tell me if it will be much longer before I get asked to do my medical? I applied in August 2004 CIC London but haven´t heard anything else from them. Is this normal?
Does anyone know what the average processing time is? Is it the full 54 months as stated on the CIC website?

Have you looked at this tracker? It may provide some info as to how others went through processing as far as timelines go:
http://www.trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/federal-skilled-workers/
(Click on the "Visa Office" column header to have the data sorted by visa offices, then go straight to page 4, that´s where London starts..)
You may also enter your own application data into the tracker to benefit others with your valuable statistics as well.
