Well i am in Canada and have processed my husband´s application for sponsorship, we are in the waiting stage at present. However, i am pregnant and require the support of my husband´s presence especially for the arrival of our little one. We are concerned that the Canadian embassey may not grant a visitor´s visa as 3 years ago my husband was detained in the US when they suspected him of being a terrorist in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. Obviously he is not a terrorist and having issued voluntary deportation, he went back to Pakistan. Will this unfortunate episode or even the fact that his sponsorship is in process, jeopardize his chance for coming here for a visit for the birth of our child? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
