Does anybody know how long it takes them to reply to resubmission?? They sent us back the application because one document wasn´t signed, so we resubmitted. Our lawyer said that we´re back in the que. It?s been 2 weeks already and no word from the immigration yet. Should i be worried? (This is so frustrating)

Thank You...

John,

You are NOT in the queue yet. You were not in the queue before either. You will know you have entered the queue when you receive your acknowledgement of receipt (AOR).

By the way, it takes CIC as long to reply to a resubmission as it takes to reply to your initial application, which in Buffalo is at about 25 days average for an AOR. Unless you have received a file number with the letter when your application has been returned, your resubmitted application will be treated as an entirely new application.

Good Luck!

Uniden

We received a letter with all the documents we submitted earlier saying that we forgot to sign form IMM xxxx. My wife (sponsor) got her client ID # (which she never had before) on that letter and a KIT ID #. Is that the file number you are talking about Uniden?

Please advise...

John,

Was this "Client ID#" given to you by CIC, or by your lawyer? Where did the letter with this ID come from?

Normally, CIC issues a File# not a Client#.

Hi Uniden and thank you.

This client ID and kit ID# were given by the CPC Mississauga on the top right corner of the letter stating we forgot to sign one form and that we need to resubmit. Lawyer has nothing to do with it. The reason why we received this to our address is because we forgot to sign use of rep otherwise it would be sent to him. We didn´t receive any file number on this letter though. Only Client ID and KIT ID.

John,

You are probably in the queue, sorry about the confusion. I am more familiar with skilled worker applications filed through outside-Canada visa centers, where CIC normally issues a File# when the application is being accepted for processing and enters the waiting queue. Again, sorry about any inconvenience and confusion I may have caused you with my last posting.

Good Luck!
