My Indian passport expires in 10 months. The Indian embassy doesn´t issue a new passport before six months of expiry time.
But I need 1 year of unexpired passport for PPR stamping. Will the Canadian authorities understand this, if I show them a printout of the Indian embassy passport regulations webpage?
Can I get some inputs about this issue...
Thanks in advance

double check (in reply to: PPR stamping if passport expires in 10 months) I think Indian consulate renews passport upto 1 year before expire date. Personal experience.

(in reply to: PPR stamping if passport expires in 10 months) I have got my passport renewed one yr before expiry. You should be fine.Go to the nearest Indian Embassy and apply for a new passport. It took me 4 weeks to get a new one.
Friendly advice,Go in person, never apply through mail for passport renewal.

(in reply to: PPR stamping if passport expires in 10 months) I´m not Indian, but I have same situation as yours. I have to renew my passport at least 1 year before expiration date, but the passport renewal is usually issued 6 months before. What I did was : I brought the copy of interview letter from CIC and presented myself to our consulate general office. After 2 weeks, I finally got my new passport with 6 yrs validation.
