HI guys. i have a question regarding the tourist visa.
My fiance is a canadian PR. We met while studying in USA. I had to return to India due to a family emergency. Now she got her PR and moved to canada last year ( may ´06).
We need to find a place to get married. If I apply for a canadian visa and tell them that I want to get married in Canada they willreject it outright.
Can I have my friends or my fiancee sponsor me alongwith a sworn affidavit that I will return to India after the wedding.

Abhishek,
All you need is "find a place to get married"???
There are endless possibilities, like:
1) She visits you in India and you get married there.
2) Meet in a third country, like Switzerland, ..and it´s neutral too!
Sorry about my sarcasm, but if all you want is to get married somewhere, then I believe that the "get married in Canada" route is the one hardest to accomplish. Consider that it may be much easier to enter Canada after you are already married to a Canadian PR.
