Have anyone been asked to do police clearances on following US states: California, New York, Illinois? Does anyone know how long does it take?
Also is it unusual to be asked to do this in addition to FBI clearance?

i was asked to secure clearance from California and FBI. California took 1 month; FBI took almost 2 months

Hello there,
My husband need to get state report from IL. He went to Joliet personally to the state police station and said why needs to get state report. He filled out the form and even though they do not usually do it there, the lady there took his fingerprinted for free of charge. You just got to be nice. The application for the report is about $12 or something.
He got the report back within 5 business days. They were really quick.
