Subject: Visa update - a query in two parts:-)
This is a question in two parts. The first of which is relatively straightforward, the second is probably more of a judgment call but anyone´s thoughts on either would be massively appreciated.

We´re 21 months into a PR application to Canada from the UK. Yesterday we received a letter requesting an update on information - police checks, statement of funds etc - stating that the evaluation of our application will begin in 120 days

So my first query is simply is this the beginning of the end our the process? Does the sooner we resend the info mean the sooner it will be evaluated? Any idea of a timeline from now on eg medical, decisions?

The second part is more complicated. As we´ve been operating under the impression we might have had a very long wait for PR, back in December we paid to take part in the BUNAC Work Canada scheme. We haven´t received the visa yet (which allows us to work for 12 months) but we have had one ´allocated´ until we decide on departure date. Our plan was to go around Aug/Sep time, and that we would at least be living in Canada while we waited (and the fact we were working there would hopefully boost our chances of staying).

So my second query is whether I should inform immigration of this? Should we still go anyway under BUNAC, even if a PR decision is imminent (relatively speaking)? Should we go sooner or should we hang on?

If you´re still awake after reading all that, anything anyone has to add is gratefully received!
