| Subject: DO I need to buy study material for IELTS test? |

Apparently, I shall have to take the test. I was doing some online research and found several links on IELTS. Some people say its not necessary to buy any study material and some say it is very important to be prepared and familiar with the test format and question samples given in the material.
If I have to buy the material then please recommend which ones should I buy?

I don´t think you need to buy the study material if you´re getting good web links for all parts (including listening).
there´s one russian site which has lots of practice tests which are really helpful

You can be members of some yahoo groups which are related to IELTS and the study materials will arrive into your mailbox for free!!! Lots of material indeed. I had done this. Best wishes, Christina.

If you are fairly well versed with the English language then just practice the free kit u recd from the institute where u r appearing for the test and that shud be sufficient.
However if ur english is weak it is highly advisable to practice hard with latest and proper material.
