Dear Forum Members
I applied as a skilled worker two years ago (CIC Islamabad)Pakistan. I have not recieved any infromation except AOR. I have been reading about IA? what is this IA? How long it takes to get IA? is it appropriate to ask for CAISP notes before IA? or please advise me what is the best time to go for notes?

"IA" = "Initial Assessment".
This is the stage at which your application enters the "real processing". Before IA, the application was in the waiting queue, where very little is done with it.
Applications filed in Islamabad are being processed in 56-60 months. When exactly you will enter the IA stage is unpredictable, you may receive a letter today or two years from now.
Ordering CAIPS notes before IA would only produce a blank CAIPS notes report and is not recommended. The best possible time to order the CAIPS notes is after IA, especially when you are being called for an interview, and you would like to be prepared, since CAIPS notes detail the reason(s) why you are being interviewed.
