Does anyone have any clue as to how long it takes to process the spousal sponsorship (inland) and after filing for the PR under family category, if and when, they issue work permits to the spouse while they are waiting for the permanent residency to come through...
Please if someone has answer, do let me know.

Go to www.cic.gc.ca and scroll down on the right side under quick links see processing times.
Applications In Canada
for Permanent residents
and you will see 8 months for stage one approval
That is when you can apply for your partners work permit. Then expect another year to obtain his/her PR card.

8 months for stage 1, up to 18 months for the whole thing.
