Hello,
I and my husband were issued medical forms in Nov 2006. However,we´ve deferred the medical exam at this moment as i am expecting baby in few months. My question is after we´ve infromed CIC of our newborn baby how much time it would take by them to send the medical form for the newborn baby. And what is involved in the medical examination of a newborn baby.
Thanks in advance
-Kavita

(in reply to: Medical for newborn baby) Kavita,
For a newborn baby, they´ll just see his/her general health. They won´t do any x-rays or draw blood aor anything like that which you might be worried about.
Relax!
Inform CIS of your situation ASAP and ask for more time for your medicals.

(in reply to: Medical for newborn baby) Once we sent them our baby´s documents e.g. copy of birth certificate etc, we received medical papers very quickly - in about 8-10 days. For babies, the medical exam only includes a physical checkup - the usual measurements (height, weight, head circumference) and the doc hears the heartbeat with a stethoscope. There are no lab tests (blood, x-ray) etc for babies.
