if i will renew my working permit(as caregiver-emporary), and update my marital status, together with my marriage contract, what last name should i use as the applicant? my husband´s or my own last name as before?
though i called the cic and they said, i dont need to update it since im not a PR yet. once im done and ready to apply for PR, then i can change my status. im confused now...some said, i should update it, the immig officer said, i´ll do it later....

i was told by another officer, that i should just attach my marriage contract and use my name as my passport bears. and thats not really a big trouble, because im not applying for PR yet and i will just renew my working permit.

this is how I understand it.
you should finish off the term of this current work permit. rather than renew... you need to go home so there is a break between this application and a new one.
Not sure if it is reasonable but you need to go home and remarry your husband so you have a date that is after the start of your last work permit application. Then you apply again with your new status.
Roy may be able to offer some other suggestion- I would give hime a call as he suggests.

i dont think i need to remarry him, as my original civil registry number will still appear on the contract, unless my first marriage was fake. i knew a friend who remarried her husband, but she had to pay the registrar to delete all the documents pertaining to her first marriage.
my renewal is just to extend my work with my employer.

if you EVER intend to live in Canada as a permanent resident, you need to fix this.
do as you like but please don´t come crying to us that nobody told you when you apply to live in Canada permanently and they deny you or say you can never sponsor your husband.

I double checked my comment and there is a slight correction. You can renew your permit as single, but you must go home and remarry so that your status actually changes mid permit.
Then you notify. The critical aspect here is that your status changes after you have begun your work permit... not before.

thanks...thats why i logged in to this site so i can get ideas and help as well. i know i have to fix this before i apply for PR. Remarrying is not a problem if that would help, but, i think they will still give me the first marriage date registered. or if they give me the second date registry number, i could use it? i heard a lot of cases like this, im just not sure what specific move they did to fix theirs.
