Hey Friends,
I am in Canada for last 1.5 years now.. I am on Work Permit.
I just wanted to know Can I extend my Work Permit for more than a year at a time? [I mean Can I apply for 2 years extension of work permit...]
Is there anyone who has applied this way ??

as far as i know, even if your contract with your employer asks for two years, the immigration officer will still have the last say about it.
it was my plan too, since we are of the same case, for reason that if ever i take vacation to anywhere else, i wont need re-entry visa, right? but as i said, it depends to the officer.
other officers allow it, others dont. better cross your finger and pray.

my friend got one and a half year WP. it varies, my first WP was for 2 years. my second WP is for one year. just wait for others same case as yours here
