| Subject: Any luck with Indian Police Certif from US |

Hi - has anyone obtained police clearance certificate from Indian consulate in the U.S.?
It has been close to a month and I have not recieved my passport or certificate. My FBI certf. has come and submitted and so are the medicals. All I´m waiting on is the police certificate from Indian consulate. Since I´m a resident of Texas-this has gone to Houston-TX.
My attempts to call/fax/email Houston have been futile. Either no one picks up or bothers to reply back. I have heard that the stuff is done and sent back - but appox. how long? My passport was issued in the U.S.
Moreover if anyone has a different number/fax no/email to contact houston consulate please let me know.
Your help in this matter is appriciated.

It is better to go there and meet them personally. They don´t care even about your application. My friend had a similar exerience and they didn´t know where the application was. He got the PCC when he went there and asked for it.

That is absurd....
Exactly one of the biggest reasons I decided to leave India. Each time I think of going back - things like these motivate me not to.
Crazy this is... I hope the Indian Officials are reading this...
