Two things need to be celebrated today, first, I am a PR now and second it??s my Lunar Calendar birthday today. haha. I am 20 something, age is secret.

Hi guys, feel disappointed, I am not allowed to land in Point Roberts as I hoped for, because they do not have custom first landing form, neither do they have a immigration service.although I have ??goods to follow list?? with a big N\A on it and they call themselives CBSA port of enry.

Guess what? When I arrived at Point Roberts today by bicycle at 11:00am, I sent the whole border house into panic in half hour. Nobody knows how to do this, nobody saw this before. They never see a single PR land in this port of entry before, not even talking about landing with bicycle.

They told me in 150 years of history, they never heard one single none citizen tried to land first time in Point Roberts by bicycle.

??Are you kidding? You can??t land here!!!!??

None of officers know how to do initial landing. They called their supervisors in Douglas; can??t really find instruction. CBSA officer just told me directly, we don??t know how to do this. Yep, you could land here, no law says you are not allowed to land here; I just don??t wanna screw you up. I don??t even know where to send this form. Maybe Ottawa or somewhere, we do this good for you, just don??t land here please, we will let you in anyway, you could drive to White rock.

They let me come in and redirect me to White Rock. But I am too tired to ride all the way to white rock. I called my friend in Richmond; he came to Delta to pick me up with bicycle.

My friend drove me all the way cross border of Peace Arch????????.you know what? Line up is so long on U.S side, all the way from U.S custom office to Duty free store??. We spent 20 min just to find first U-turn spot?? Everybody else was wondering what we are doing, why U-turned?? WTF???

On Canadian side, absolutely no lineup, CBSA asked us how long we stay in U.S, 10 min?
He didn??t even check my friend??s passport, I told him that I need do initial landing. Then we were instructed to park our car and went into a little counter with both Custom and Immigration counter right and left. It´s so small, just like Abu´s E-mart.

First, immigration, a hot immigration chick just asked me general questions.
??Your first name, last name, address, ever inadmission in Canada, criminal record stuff, how much money?
Just checked, checked, checked, sign my name??.
big cross my One time use PR visa....

Guess what? I screwed up with signature; I signed my signature too big and outside the square, they have to give me a form and redo it, take a photo again.

She did not check any bank statement, current status in Canada.
I brought everything... damn it, so damn heavy on my bicycle.

Then, to custom side, I have no goods to follow, no claim goods and what so ever, because I have lived in Canada for more than half decade, how much cash do you have right now? Couple hundreds with several credit cards, all in Canada funds, nope, don??t even worry about that. 2 min done. Custom even wondered why you live in Canada for so long and wait until now to immgirate..
"well, I am too young to immigrate."

Whole landing process takes about 15 min, no surprise, and no challenge.

I am not allowed to leave Canada, otherwise I need PR card to come in unless coming from U.S. If you don´t have PR card, while you wanna travel, make sure you have U.S visa and come back from U.S.

After that, we drove all the way to Service Canada, No3 road in Richmond, they issue me SIN number right away??

Tonight, I had a huge celebration in one of Chinese restaurant Richmond??.I invited so many friends in Richmond, We ate ??Alaska king crabs??, We ate a 8LB Alaska King crab, they steam curry rice on the top of the King crabs shell, never ate that before, that??s like heaven food, got so drunk.. Guess what? In China, only extremely rich gangsters could afford to eat ??Alaska King crabs??, it costs about 2000 dollar Canadian just to have a 5LB little guy. I only see people eat Alaska King crab in the TV shows.

Richmond is great when you need have celebration with perfect Chinese dine out place...
I also introduced my girlfriend to everybody first time; she never ate so much sea food, even though she grows up in Canada??..

??oh, how you Chinese could cook those stuff, it tastes so good!??
??yep, you only could eat this in Richmond.??
"ewwww, how you guys eat this!"
"yep, you see? We Chinese never waste anything, anything moves, could be eatten by us..lol"

Five years, finally, I am PR now, but this is not something finished, this is a new stage, now I have stable status, I gotta see if I could have my own house and family before 30s??????????.
Saw quite a lot of business opportunities in Richmond too, lol. I am a Chinese, yep, we seek business opportunities 24/7.

Yep, I feel reborn again....Canada is my adapted motherland..
Since I am still young and have my full-time job already.. gotta keep working...
Next goal is to get a house ASAP and maybe settle down....

Instead of finding job or wonder what should I do next, I have lived in Canada for so long, life is easy to me....

Go skiing, fishing this weekend....five years...

finally, my happy ending.

"so much for my happy ending..
you were everything, everything I want it".

Yep, I have to thank everyone for this two years of spirit support..

oh yep... forgot I should kudo Avril Lavign´s song.
She wrote "breakaway" and sing by Kelly Clarkson....
this song gave me so much encouragment...eh?
When I feel blue, I always play this song at home...

da da dan da da
da da dan da da
da da dan da da da da

da da dan da da
da da dan da da
da da dan da da da da

Grew up in a small town
and when the rain would fall down
I´d just stare out my window
Dreaming of what could be
And if I´d end up happy
I would pray

Trying hard to reach out
But when I´d try to speak out
Felt like no one could hear me
Wanted to belong here
But something felt so wrong here
So I´d pray
I could breakaway

I´ll spread my wings and I´ll learn how to fly
I´ll do what it takes ´till I touch the sky
And I´ll
Make a wish
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But i won´t forget all the ones that I love
I´ll Take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakawaaaaaay

I have observed you for almost all of your two years. My applause for your courage, determination when everyone laughed at you, you enthusiasm about your new home and you dreams for a bright future.

Others might pout that you have completed what they are still waiting for, and some will still say it is not fair, or tease you about your transparent learning of a new culture (even about the bears and deer)... but now I must confess something -

I have been sharing some of your story with several life time Canadians. They have been cheering for you with every ever step you have taken. Without exception... they have said, WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE YOU.

Congratulations

Congratulations DB. Nice touched story. Hopefully you´ll get a new wonderful life there in Canada.
Just wondering, did you have to undergo to medical checkup? after IA or before? I´m waiting for medical form after I did interviewed about 8 days ago and it was successfully satisfied the officer (as he said). the medical should be sent after I update my children´s photos and send them to CIC, which I did.
so you only waited for 3 months after your IA? hope mine too. can´t wait to land in canada. I´m thinking of BC. I know life is so expensive there, but its friendlier weather makes me think about living there. I have 3 little kids.
GOOD LUCK for you.

background check depends on office and individual condition too, because I am young and single, moved to Canada right after legal age, basically there is nothing to check....we have been thru really bad weather this year..
Was driving by stanley park while I went to skiing in the North Shore, tons of hundreds years old trees were destoried this year by the retarded storm.
