Hi zaher,
1. It won´t effect ur sponsorship application for Canada.

2. Could take anywhere from 6 months till an year to land, depending on ur home country´s background.

3. I have no idea of the lawyers available in MI. Sorry for that.

My spouse has an expired visa in the usa.
I am a canadian citizen and we are married.
I sponsored him. All is well for now.
Papers has been sent to Buffalo to be proceeded
We are waiting for an inteview date.
There was no problem putting in the application
There was no need for lawyers.

Work Permit (Status) (in reply to: status?)
Hi I came to canada on the basis of admission to MBE programme and the condition was that I had to pass two courses prior to my admission. I took the courses and cleared both of them with good marks but due to the number of applications they had received, they rejected my application and asked me to reapply in 2007. I was in a position where I didn´t have a job neither was I studying and decided to explore both the avenues. I have now got two job offers with a condition of me getting a work permit as I have cleared my IFIC in 2006. I am just wondering as to how it affects my status and how to apply for my work permit. I have to sort something asap or else my job offers will expire. Please advise.
