Im from India living in UAE from last 2 years.
Can some one clarify following questions. Thanx


1.notarized employment contracts from your present and past employers,accompanied by an English Translation
Question is: From where to get notarized.

2.Professional qualifications certificates:notarized professional qualification certificates should be submitted if available.
Question is: from where to get notarized.

2. Police clearence certificate. Should I apply in Indian embassy Abudhabi or apply it in India. Also checklist says "Submit original fingerprints directly to the authorities conducting the police checks" .. can some one explain?

3. What i need to do if there is a spelling mistake in my name in different documents.

4.Transcripts:original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in university-sealedenvelopes. what do u mean by this? and how to do u apply for university sealed envelops?

1. I´m not sure whether you understand the meaning of notarization, therefore, I´d like to explain. In most countries, there are people who are licensed as notary public. One of their task is to certify that the photocopy is the true copy of the original, and that there is no alteration done.In Canada, lawyers are also authorized to notarize document, but I´m not sure about UAE. How to find a lawyer? Just open a phonebook and check.
2. Same as above.
3. Remember to obtain Police certificate for countries, you have resided for more than six months. From your info, I gather that you would have to obtain Police certificate for UAE and India. For Police certificate, you would have to go to the area Police Station. As for fingerprints, there are countries where police would require them before issuing police certicate. You would have to enquire from Indian police, as to whether fingerprints are required and what´s the process of sending them.
4.Spelling mistake should be explained in a separate note.If it´s a significant difference e.g. almost like a different name, than I think that you would have to make the necessary corrections, prior to application submission.
5.You´ll have to ask the University to provide the Transcript (marksheet) in a sealed enveloped. Ideally, it should have the University seal on the letter itself, to show that it has not been opened. for example, a University stamp across the opening of the letter, and a tape over it.
