I am preparing to take GENERAL Module IELTS test and not able to decide which book to buy for practice. There are so many choices and I dont know what is the difference or which are the good ones.

Is there a difference in the material between Cambridge IELTS 4
and Cambridge IELTS 5? Should I buy any one? I did a little research but the table of content is almost same for all the Cambridge books?

Can you please help. There are so expensive. I dont want to end up buying something totally useless.

Thanks.

Robin,

Probably all IELTS books are good in the sense that they will give you an idea as to what to expect during the test, and how the testing itself takes place.

We were lucky enough to find IELTS books at our local library. You should try the same before you buy such expensive books. If everything else fails, buy it used on eBay or Amazon. Today I am actually sorry that I did so much running around for those books. If you can write, speak, and understand English, the IELTS books will not teach you anything new..

Good Luck!

Uniden

PS - Do not be afraid of the test! It´s easier than you think!

BS, i think that your suggestion of buying a book with CD and copying it and then eventually return the whole thing is WRONG!. Don´t suggest anything that is ILLEGAL. This forum is not for your kind of attitude.

Robin, just like uniden said, you dont have to worry with the IELTS test. If youre working in an English environment, then you will be fine. Email me and I can give you some of the essays sample. Goodluck.
