Subject: Goods to follow - Please advise
I am planning to land in Canada by plane and then later drive

I understand that I need to fill in a goods to follow list to be submitted at the time of first landing in Canada.

My question is do I prepare just a regular document with estimated value and description, or I need to fill this up in specified forms like some B forms people talk abt on this website.

Please let me know,
Thanks,
Andy

The "B forms" are recommended; they can be found on settlement.org. I just made an excel spreadsheet and it made customs very happy, so I guess that was sufficient. Anything that is not included on the goods to follow list (including your car) will be taxed when you bring it into the country. However, there is no time limit for bringing the goods in.
