I have my application for PR (Skilled Worker) pending in Buffalo. Recently I got a job offer from a Hospital (I am a Pharmacist). Do I stand chance to get a work permit? Would the officers look into the fact that my application is pending for PR and at the same time I am applying for a work permit. Will I be a candidate for what they call as a "Dual Intent".
They say I would require a medical to get my work permit (because of the fact that I would be working in a Public Health setting). Does a medical usually adds 3 more months to the work permit process, if done from with in the USA.

You can be in the USA or Canada on a work permit and apply for permanent status in either country while your on temporary status.

If I have a US Green Card, can´t I apply for a Canadian PR?
