I want to know which is better option, I have a US car and i wonder if it is a better option to take this car to canada or buy a new car in canada
Does anyone knows, how much extra charges etc one has to pay to take the car when you move to canada on permanent immigration.
Is there a place/website where i can find detailed information.
Also can I change the registration from US to Canada and get ontario number plate

It is definitely cheaper to take the car from US to Canada. We transported our car recently and everything went smooth. We had to pay fees of abt $206.00 for registration when the car came in, and then carry out a the safety tests etc which cost another $130.00, and then took those certificates to get the Ontario registration done. You can find the details in settlement.org - look in transportation. If you are driving the car into Canada, you can save on transportation costs.
