Hi everyone, first things first, this is a great forum and I have found out alot of info,Sharon your great! I still dont know where to start or if there is any hope
Im a Canadian citizen who is very much in love with an American, we have discussed marriage and him moving here. I know we have a few different routes that we can try but what would be the easiest? We´ve been together for over 2 years and this is the man I want to spend my life with. If we got married, how easy would it be for him to get here, and if we get married would it be better to marry here, in Canada or in the U.S.? There is one catch though, he has dui on his record and how much would that hurt his case? I dont think I could bear to be apart from him for 5 years until it clears off his record and then start the process of him moving here..........please if anyone could give me advice it would be very much appreiciated

it sounded straight forward until you got to the DUI. I know it is a lot of money, but before you marry or do any other permanent thing...I would chat with a good immigration consultant so you can determine what you are up against. It is better to have your eyes wide open and have an idea what is involved before you leap.
