Subject: Medical & Police Clearance Info. URGENT
  Hey
Through this forum I have found several solutions.

I have decided to sponsor my husband from his home country India, but he is currently residing with me in Canada and we are getting the documents ready.

We have obtained the following documents;
1. UK Police Clearance
2. Canadian Police Requirements=>>Finger Prints only
3. Indian Police Certificate=> Date of Issue was Jan 2006 and he hasnt been to India since Dec 2005 because he was in the UK. Would it be valid?
4. Medical records issued by a CIC Designated Doctor.

My questions again:
1. Should I submit these documents right away?
2. Will the Indian Police Clearance be valid if he hasnt returned to India since Dec 2005?
3. Are medical examination records valid if they are issued by a designated CIC Doctor who is not in India but in Canada, even though the application is made through INDIA?

Will wait for a response.
Thanks

Yes, medicals completed by a DMP in Canada will be valid for an outside ap through India. They´re valid for one year.

Police clearances are good for six months, but are supposed to be submitted within 3 months after they were completed.

You should be submitting everything as soon as you´ve got it ready. I would go ahead and submit the India clearances from 2005, including an explanation in your cover letter and proof that he´s been resident in the UK and Canada since having the clearances done. Don´t delay submitting your ap - but you might consider ordering new clearances in case CIC refuses to accept the old ones. That way, you have them ready and you avoid significant delays in the processing of your ap. You might even forward the new ones without being asked, once you receive them.

You can go ahead and submit the application. Mention in the cover letter that he has not visited India even for one day. I guess then it should not be a problem. In anycase they can ask you to submit this later on if they are not satisfied.

Application without Police Certificate (in reply to: Medical & Police Clearance Info. URGENT)
Hi,

I need a quick advice before I apply my PR Application.

1. I have applied to Police Clearence Certification @ Indian Embassy in Ottawa, but it would take 3 to 4 weeks of time. Should I apply (send) the PR application without Police Clearence Certificate. to Bufflo?
Can I send them later to Canadian Immigration once I received them?

2. Do I need to get police certificate for all my family members @ India?

3. I have residing in Canada (now) and have the "Criminal Record Check" certificate from "Ottawa Police Service". Will this do for proof of Canadian Police clearence certificate for PR.

Your help or advice on these are highly appriciate.

Thanks in advance,
Keerthi
