Subject: Things to do after receiving COPR
Could anyone go through the steps or things need to be done after receving PP and COPR?. One is to prepare a list of items to move, can one just create a spreadsheet or any particular/standard form is required?

Also have a question about a family of three, the min funds required is around 15K CAD, what form could one take the $$ in? is there any restriction on taking it in the form of cash? or anything else is recommended.

Any tips and input is greatly appreciated.

Funds:

Depends on which country you are landing from.

Taking up-to-date bank statement(s) showing available balance in the required amount is sufficient IF you land from the US.

..otherwise.. cash or travelers checks for any other country.

Is there any tax you have to pay on the cash you are taking? I heard some rumours but don´t know what the truth is.

Do not trust rumours!

You can bring in 20 million dollars if you wish and still pay no tax, or any fee!
You just HAVE TO let the officer know if you are bringing more than CAD $10,000 with you. Not telling them is illegal.
