Hello
I am currently filling in form IMM 5540 and seem to have got stuck on the following;
Question 8: Have you resided in countries other than Canada?
During the fiesty divorce battle between my parents I was moved to India for a period of 2 years. I was between 1 & 2 years old. To add to it my mother had to use the Indian police to obtain my custody and have me return to Canada.
Do I need to mention this information on the application. Furthermore they have asked me to provide the contact details of the people I lived with there but as you can imagine I do not speak to any of them. So do I need to explain the above.
Question 14 Part B:
They have asked me to mention if my husband has met any of my family members and they want dates. I donot have exact dates. Shall I mention that on the form and should I put inn approximated dates?
Please advice at the earliest.
Thanks
Anita

(in reply to: Form IMM 5540 Questions) Even I can answer your questions:
Q8: Yes, you have resided in countries other than Canada. You cannot answer this question with "No". Mention the fact that you were almost a baby and provide the details you remember (if any)
Q14: Use the dates you remember. Precision only counts to a certain extent. I can´t even remember what I ate yesterday..
