Subject: A trick to access e-client services
  Hi,

Here´s a tip to all who are as anxious as me, trying to log onto the e-client services daily to check whether your application has been processed.

I tried to logon everyday to e-client using my RECEIPT NUMBER from the payment of my PR application to see if I can retrieve anything out of it. After 5 months of trying with no results, I decided to use the CLIENT ID on the renewal of my VISITOR RECORD that I have just received few weeks ago. And guess what? I managed to retrieve something!!!

E-client application status
-We received your application for permanent residence on September 5, 2006.
-We started processing your application on November 15, 2006.

I am so happy to know that at least they have started processing my application despite the fact that the processing times on the website is for files received up to April 24,2006.

So, you guys might like to try the same trick. Use anything that you have in hand, such as a renewal of visitor visa, TRP etc etc. Who knows, you might get something!

Everybody sees the e-Cas message stating that they started processing PR applications, actually since the date CIC has acknowledged receipt of your application (AOR). It doesn´t mean that they are actually processing it. It is just in the waiting queue until IA (initial assessment).

haha, exactly, during my 2 years waiting period, I only see E-client changed twice... first time I receive AOR, back to March 2005, then next time is Dec 2006 " medical received"...

basically, 1.5 years, e-client no updates.

and I thought I was the only one. For me it still shows: Interview scheduled for Jan 13th 2005. Which is a history now.

Actually, I am an inland applicant under the spouse category. I will not receive any AOP. Instead, an AIP (approval in principle) should come in 3-5 months time (usually a total of nine months wait as according to the CIC website).
Anyways, my first forum is meant to let people know if they want to at least retrieve something from the e-service client, they can try using the relevant document I discussed earlier.

I´m too applying in-land on 28th June 2006, but only start processing in Oct.

Let pray we will get our PR as soon. Good Luck ~
