Was booked road test for my airbrake class 1 DL yesterday, saw something might wanna share.
in case you plan to live in B.C, you must know this.....
you only have 3 month after landing to exchange your out of province DL... nothing has been changed here...
however, in case you never had DL or only have learner, after March 31, 2007, you have to wait 12 month in learner stage, 24 month N stage, no short cut, does not matter you go to driving school or not, which means you will plan to have 3 years before you could allow to drive with no restriction.........
DL is as important as your leg here in my small island town, don´t have public transit at all..
This reminds me first when I got into Canada back to half decade ago... Go to take knowledge test, past, then I went to GLP (graduated learner program), PST, GST exempt class, paid 800 dollar something, there are 12 classes in classroom, certain amount of road hours..
It was like highschool classroom in driving school, just play and play, fun, joke, watching video,from the culture I was from, this is like heaven to have education in those kind of enviroment....it´s kind of culture shock too..
I think I was benefit from driving school, I learn the skill which I could survive on the road..
FYI, I drove 15 ton international truck around B.C before...lol.
oh, in case you really wanna short cut, seriously, your life has no short cut, go to driving school and take driving courses......

beside you asian was born to be a suck driver......
DB, be careful, you might hit some eagles.
we are adult, we do not need to go to driving school like you, you are too young...
see this is the problem for young immigrants like you!!!
