Can anyone help me? I?m desperate for help. I applied for immigration in Mar/04 and got my AOR in April/04. I have Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and had one year COOP work experience. I didn´t hear back from them after that. I applied for my CAIPS and found out that they didn´t give me points for my COOP work experience. CIC gave me 53 points. I was working on my grad diploma and finished that in Oct/05 and start work in my field from Jan/06. I submitted copies of my work permit and job letter from my company in Jan/06 and CIC ?Buffalo received documents in Feb/06. I ordered CAIAPS and found out that my file will be opened in July/06. Didn´t hear back from them in July and applied for CAIPS in Oct/06 and found out that my file will be opened in Jan/07. I emailed CIC-Buffalo again last week and they told me that I should hear back from them in couple of months. They told me this in Jan/06 when I asked them about status of my application.
What should I do?? Any suggestion? Why are they doing this with me?

Co-op experience as part of degree requirements is not counted towards immigration work experience requirement. Best would be to update them with your work experience if you have been able to manage to get some.
