hi my name is raj . recently i got a letter from consulate saying that i have to pay the Right of permanent resident fee for myself and for my wife . but my wife has,n t completed her x-ray part of her medical exam (she was pregnant during that time ) . so should i need to sent the fee for both for me and for my wife or should i let the
the consulate people know . One more thing my son was born on december 22 so what will be the process for my son .
please help me cos i have time only till 22nd of december 2004

(in reply to: Right for permanent resident fee - urgent) 1. Right of Permanent Resident Fee (RPRF) is independent of your medical results and should be paid if you have been asked to do so.
RPRF is refundable and if for some reason you want to withdraw your application (as long as CIC has not made a decision for your case), or if your application is rejected you will get a full refund.
2. Wait until your son is born. Then, send them a fax/letter and let them know about the change of your family composition. CIC will advise you about what to do afterwards (this may take a few weeks.)

2. I´m not sure I understand this question. I believe only adults are required to pay the fee. So if your child is, well, a child, there is no fee for him/her.
