Subject: PR application; confusing questions? Plz help
  Hi everyone:

Im filling in my application for PR in Canada. My concern is about my family information. There´re totally 3 members in my family including my son, my wife and me. My son was born in Canada on Jan 25, 2007 so basically he´s a Canadian citizen.

The second line in the IMM 0008 reads "How many family members (including yourself) are included in this application in Canada, whether they will be accompanying you to Canada or not?" Should I write 2 or 3? I guess 2 since I only want to apply for PR for my wife and me.

Should I also list my son in the second part of the application about "details of family members"? I guess no since the prompt says "you must include your spouse, ..... and all of your dependent children, and those of your spouse blah blah, who are not already PR or Canadian citizens". Am I right?

I also heard that only children who are over 18 years old will be counted as "family relationship in Canada" as mentioned in Factor 6 - Adaptability. Is that true?

Thanks everyone for reading my post. Plz give me an answer as soon as you can.

TS

I assume you are being sponsored by your spouse/partner? If so please note the last question of sponosr evaluation form IMM5481 question 6b and that is where you should list your Canadian child.

Hi

I don´t think that any baby born in Canada is a canadian citizen. There are some rules to that.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks
