| Subject: Searching for IP address |
Can someone tell me who owns this IP address or where it came from? 74.14.157.18
It would greatly be appreciated because I do not know how to track an IP address.

In Windows you can go to:
Start/Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt
..then type:
TRACERT 74.14.157.18
it will return something like:
bas1-barrie18-1242471698.dsl.bell.ca [74.14.157.18]
..and this means it is a an IP from Canada, likely residential (doesn´t have any servers running at that location, I already checked), DSL account with Bell Canada.
You can´t tell WHO is belongs to, unless you subpoena the Internet service provider.
I hope this helped. That´s all you can find out without doing extensive PI work. But I know the name of his dog! :)
