Subject: VISA STAMPING
I would really appreciate and be greatfull if someone can answer the following:

I applied under skilled worker program in September of 2005. My file was transferrred from Buffalo to NYC in October 2006 and I gave interview in January in NYC. After the interview, I was told to give Medical ( which I gave a couple of days later to the designated Doctor´s office in NY) and provide new fingerprint result( which I already have sent out request of). From what I understand, while it may take 2 months for the Medical result to be received in the Consulate, it may take 4 months for the Fingerprint result to come in.

I understand that if both Medical & fingerprint results are ok, then, I will receive letter for Visa Stamping ( I am assuming of course that my interview was ok, since they asked me to give the Medical and Fingerprint only).

However, due to a situation, I may have to leave the country next week for my homeland and may not be able to come back.

My question is, if I do receive a letter in my mailing address in New York asking me for the Visa Stamping, is it possible to mail my Passport to the Consulate from my home country and then have an authorized person pick it up from there?

Any one can help with this? Roy, Uniden or anyone else?

Please.

Thanks.
