go and stay there in CAN for a month or two, if you like it there then it will be fine, else Not.
I have been to CAN and I liked it, but it depends on you where are you currently living in the UK, Canadians are mainly French, and Irish. provinces like Quebec are mostly French dominated and provinces in the west are mostly irish and mixed races´ dominated. Canada should be cheaper than the UK, yet they are almost the same except that the english accent in Canada is very much similar to the Americans and Britons have their superb style of speaking English.

This is something I looked into as well when deciding where to live (as an American). I´ve talked and met a few Brits moving from the UK to Canada, and asked them why Canada. None regretted it.

They all seemed to agree on a few points. For them everything in the UK was expensive, with the cost of living in Canada about 1/3 less overall, and with housing especially expensive in the UK. They also all voiced the same complaint that the UK was too crowded and seemed like people lived on top of each other. They were looking forward to the vast, rugged, and scenic spaces of Canada.

Finally, although both countries have free national health care (if you don´t count paying by taxes), the Canadian system was seen as of higher quality. This I think is true and can be verified by independent statistics.

I don´t know that job opportunities are much different between the two. Salary for professional skills probably higher in Canada.

So looks like a recommendation to make the change. Just my thoughts - maybe others have more or different.

While comparing to western countries, its seems life style is almost the same in every aspect of live. I used to think that why but how wrong I was until I came to Canada myself. I lived in UK for 6 years and now Permanent Resident of Canada.

Surely my vote is for Canada. As United Nation also mentioned as one of the best places to live on Earth! What I have seen is mentioned follows:

Tax:
Overall Canada seems to be on higher side, as you have to pay GST and PST in all products and services, whereas in UK its always inclusive in sales price.

Job Tax is also higher, but you are paid a minimum of $8 on every job . Its not much difficult to get a job of $15 per hour.

Cost of living is 1/3 in terms of food and accommodation. You can easily afford one - two bedroom condos, where as in UK its hard to find one. Studio flats are more than 600-700 pounds approximately 1,200 Canadian dollars

People lived in London or any part of UK can easily accommodate themselves in Toronto. I feel very easy, as before I came to Toronto, I was comparing Toronto as London, like crowded, people don´t have time, less job opportunities etc. Though, It was contrary. London is far very crowded and conjusted, whereas Toronto has quite a rugged, and scenic spaces.

Education
As said, some of the top business, computing, design and medical universities / colleges. Such as Seneca, York, UfT, McGuill, Ryerson.

Job Guidance
You will find far more job search agencies and places, where you can use free internet, print outs and various workshop on job search. I hope non of us expect people will find job for them. Its obvious job found by oneself for themselves. It all depends on your eagerness to change, learning, and enthusiasm. Banking, IT and various office job ranging from clerk to managerial level are available, though you have to abide certain procedures and leave the rest on luck.

* Lastly, Canada can be a better option than UK, if you have Permanent Residency status. For students, UK still have various good options. For further on this, you can contact me on headoffice@link2canada.ca

You don´t pay PST in every Province! Alberta and Yukon only have the GST!
