Hi
I obtained a Police Clearance Certificate from the SSP office in the city of Jalandhar in India where i was born and have permanent residence. The Police Clearance Certificate says something like ´no case or criminal record in the city of Jalandhar´.
I have been working in Mumbai for last 5 years.
Would the Police Clearance Certificate I obtained from Jalandhar be sufficient as the Police Clearance Certificate from India ?
Would the Canadian office accept this certificate or would they reuire another one?

(in reply to: Police Clearance Certificate from India) Try asking for just no criminal record. This one may or may not cause problems.

(in reply to: Police Clearance Certificate from India) This depends on the system in your country. I mean when they search for criminal records, do they serach in all the country or in one province only ? if they search in all the country then what u have is enough if not you have to obtain one from each each province you lived in more than 6 months
