Hi trying to sort out best way to proceed here. I´m a Canadian citizen living in UK with British husband and we have a son born 2004. We want to move to Canada. Should we go first and apply for sponsership for Husband there, or can I (should I?) apply from this end? The sponsership says I am required to support husband for 3 years minimum. does that mean he won´t be allowed to work there or can he apply for a work permit. I´m confused. many thanks. amanda

(in reply to: Moving family to Canada Help please) You can sponsor your husband from both UK and Canada it depends on you where to apply from. Your husband does not need a work permit once he gets PR.

(in reply to: Moving family to Canada Help please) I guess my next question will be which is quicker? If we applied over there how long is it likely to take for him to get PR? I ask because at moment I am primary carer to our son and we´d prefer it to continue that way. many thanks for your reply

(in reply to: Moving family to Canada Help please) 1. For inside: The processing times for CPC Mississauga:38 days. Then inland processing at vegreville 9-10 months.
2. For outside: 38 days + London processing times 3-7 months.
People say processing from outside is usually faster.
